I'm occasionally getting a record that includes a name but nothing is highlighted. I've been clicking Unsure but is there a better solution?

FamilySearch says, Help with Full Name Review

    Article Id: 23980 June 05, 2025

    "Here is the better solution:

    1. Click "No" when asked if the full name is highlighted correctly (or if you are in a mode where it presents the name as "indexed"). This action allows you to enter an editing mode.
    2. Add or adjust the highlights so the correct, complete name is highlighted on the record image.
      • To add a highlight, click on the name in the image you want to highlight. You can resize and position the box as needed.
      • To remove a highlight, click on the existing highlight and select the "Detach" option.
    3. Ensure the transcribed name matches the image. Correct any spelling mistakes or reorder name parts in the transcription pane on the right side of the screen.
    4. Click "Next" or "Done" to save your changes and move on to the next name.

The "Unsure" option is best used when you genuinely cannot read the handwriting, even after zooming in or using other document aids. Correcting the entry ensures the name is accurately indexed and searchable for other users."

    I hope this helps.
