Auto Indexing mistakes.
Good evening, I find it very unfortunate that more recent sources don't have images. I feel like it was part of the 'magic,' and they also gave you certainty regarding the information. Recently, my great-grandma’s death certificate was shown as a hint. I showed it to my grandma, and to my surprise, she told me the dates were wrong. She even showed me the receipt they gave her and turns out dates were off by years! I’ve also seen mistakes in other sources, like 'Romero' being displayed as 'Rmoreo.' It seems to be a mistake by the AI that transcribes data. I feel like it would be much better if we could have visible sources again, i mean,as a community we could index them correctly. Is there a legal reason why we can’t see photos of these records? These mistakes seem to happen mostly in records from 1980 to 2016, so it seems to be more of a recent records issue so it isn't that much of a problem tbh but i feel like it could be done better.

Indexing errors can occur, and they may cause problems for people searching for records about their ancestors. Family Search has released updates that allow users to edit names, places, and dates that were indexed incorrectly. However, the ability to see original sources for indexing may depend on various factors, including legal considerations. It's always a good practice to refer to original documents whenever possible to ensure accuracy.
