I can find minister's returns after 1785, but not the 40 years of bonds before that. I presume they are on microfilm, but I cannot find them.

@EvFinSteven Are you looking for records of Augusta County that you've seen previously on FamilySearch and therefore know that they exist?

    Hello @EvFinSteven,

I can find no evidence that any of the Augusta County, Virginia, marriage bonds prior to 1785 have actually been microfilmed or digitized.

The research staff at the Library of Virginia may be able to tell you whether these early marriage bonds have been microfilmed or digitized and if so how you can access them. You can ask your question here: https://www.lva.virginia.gov/services/research/ask
