    Translated from Russian:

Death Record No. 2, Sompolno, of [Krystyna] Prietz, born Nitscher, who died in Półwiosek on 15th January 1888, death reported on 16th January 1888, she lived 35 years, she was born in Lubomyśle, daughter of Christoff (Krzysztof in Polish) Nitscher, a laborer there living, and of his wife, [Karolina], born Schtimler, already deceased. At death she left her widowed husband, Wilhelm Prietz. Death reported by Wilhelm Prietz, 41 years old, husband of the deceased, and by Krystian Elke, 47 years old, villagers from Półwiosek. After confirming with my own eyes the death of [Krystyna] Prietz, born Nitscher, this record was read to the above-mentioned husband of the deceased and a witness, who knew the deceased, and it was signed.

    Notes in margin:

    • Instead of bracketed name “Krystyna” it should be Justyna.
    • Instead of bracketed name “Krystyna” it should be Justyna.
    • Instead of bracketed name “Karolina” it should be Krystyna.

If you have not done it yet, please note in Poznan Project, that Wilhelm Prietz, a widower, married in year 1888, sister of his deceased wife. The names of their parents are listed in Sompolno, Evangelical Parish, Marriage No. 24.
