Date Issues in France, Nord, Parish and Civil Registration, 1524-1893 collection

I have seen a number of odd issues with the France, Nord, Parish and Civil Registration records. In the date fields. They show one date in French then an entirely different date in English in the drop down. Can anyone explain why this happens and which one is to be considered correct. Unfortunately, the original records are handwritten in French making it very difficult for me to double check the source.

The image for this birth record and for Rosalie's death record are both indexed correctly and display correctly in Search Results:

The image shows the date of the registration at the top, "quinzième jour du mois de Germinal, troisième année de la République"—meaning the fifteenth day of the month Germinal, third year of the Republic….

The French Republic began in 1792 and Germinal is from March 21 to April 19. Thus, the correct date in our calendar is 4 April 1795.

The incorrect date of 1807 found in Record Details is likely an error of the system trying to convert numbers found on the index (from the French Republican calendar) to a standardized date. It is a common problem engineers are working to improve. Generally, what was originally indexed can be trusted more than a later attempt to standardize. I hope this all makes sense!
