Correct Errors to Image Listings for Coweta, Georgia
Today a representative of the Coweta County Genealogical Society visited our FS center in Newnan, Georgia. He had prepared a listing of errors he had found when searching "Images" with the Place Name "Coweta, Georgia". The errors included mis-labeling of some images (like Marriages being categorized as Military) and incorrect content (like a document for a location in another state and having no data for Coweta, Georgia).
Please review the attached listing of image numbers and errors and make appropriate changes to the cataloging of these images.
Please advise me when the changes are completed so I can communicate with the local society.

@Rich_Phillips Thank you for sending this and please thank the Coweta County Genealogical Society for taking the time to compile it. Here is what I have found:
DGS 8349386 does need to have metadata corrected on all eight item numbers.
DGS 4531971 is from the 1930 Federal Census of Georgia. Even though the metadata only lists Columbia, it does contain Coweta and Crawford counties as well. Indexing is correct and the correct county is shown in search results.
DGS 4119713 is from the 1900 Federal Census of Georgia. Title in Image says only Crawford but Coweta is included and is in the metadata. This film also has had place names corrected in index details and in search results.
DGS 5165715 is the 1860 Slave Census and does contain many counties, including Coweta. The title in Images (Dodd County) is not accurate, but all of the counties are in the metadata and can be retrieved in Image Search. Search results show the correct county.
DGS 5427406 is one of many in this collection of Texas military records that are completely in error. Place name in the metadata has been taken from the surname of the first person recorded and transformed into a town name. This will all need to be corrected.
All of the above DGS are catalogued accurately. Errors are only in Images. Again, thank you for reporting. I will send these in to our Metadata team.

There are many such problems with a wide range of different causes, so it may take a while to fix these issues if they can be resolved at all. Once the list is available here we can tag the relevant moderator for assistance.
Please note, if relevant, that any indexing (record metadata) issues may be fixable by your colleague himself via the index editing functionality, although not all collections support this.
