We had a copy of the baptism but it has gone missing. Would greatly like to be able to find another copy. I don't know where the original was kept. My husband found the copy in his mother's belongings after she passed away.
Father's name was also Michael and mother's maiden name listed was Eleonore Grundlers. It would mean so much to be able to find this record. I am on ancestry but have not found anything. Hope this gives you more to go on to lead me in right direction.

Do you know the specific parish/church or at least the city of the baptism?

Lutheran baptism. Costrop, Rauxel. Pastor Belle May 1,1948. Mother name Eleonore (maiden name Grundler) Father Michael Lubas. My husband is Michael also. Had middle name Heinz but not sure if that was on cetificate. I remember his mother's maiden name was.

Costrop Rauxel I believe is in Northern Germany. I believe it may be a very old church. May be joined with another one now.

When I put in Castrop in when doing ancestry it shows Castrop-Rauxel,Recklinghausen,North Rhine-Westphalia Germany. Hope that helps.

Looks like there are three Evangeical parishes in Castrop-Rauxel. Do you have anything else that may have had an address on it, like his civil birth certificate

My husband and his mother took a trip back to Germany and he visited the church. I showed him pictures of churches and the one he chose was called Luther Church according to Wikipedia. (Castrop Rauxel). It is a landmark. It looks like the church dates back to 1881. Wikipedia says that in that year, Protestant church Castrop style Neobacksteingotik ( don't speak German so not sure what that means built. Says it was severely damaged in the second world war but was rebuilt. It has been part of the Castrop-Evangelical Pauline Parish since Sept 1 2007. This also on the Wikipedia.
