Hey everyone! There is a direct way to report issues with Places. The email placefeedback@familysearch.org which goes right to the team who manages places. If you find an issues with a place, feel free to reach out through this email. You are still welcome to report them here and the community will jump in and help you and it will get reported if needed but I wanted you to know there is another option. Sam 😊

Yes, that is a good way to report problems in the Places database such as missing places, missing time periods, problems with latitude and longitude, alternate names that need to be added, and such.

Unfortunately it will not help with the most commonly reported place name problem in which the index place standardization routine picked the wrong standard from the Places database. The Places database itself is fine in those situations. A recent example of this ongoing problem is discussed here: Heeswijk, Brabant, Netherlands — FamilySearch Community

The Places Authorities team is not very big, so please don't bombard them with place standardization errors found in the indexes unless they have specifically said they can correct the indexes.
