Cataloging place name errors in German records
I am wondering if any one else sees this kind of error. The place of the record is actually Neunkirchen, Mosbach, Baden. I can edit it later in the sources and in the details of the person, but it happens 90% of the time, at least inthis area of Germany. I cannot explain why this happens like this. If you look at the catalog entry by film number (Microfilm #102060673, Image 834 of 1098, the placename is correct. But not in this part where if I am not watching it will add an entirely different place, but similar name.
Thanks for the help,

@Pat Lowe This is an issue with the place auto-standardization routine.

When you see Event Place and Event Place (Original), the auto-standardization routine has failed to match the place name correctly.@SerraNola I expect this one is probably already on your list. Thanks.

†hanks, But its been going on for a long time, years, So when is it likely to be fixed? What shall I do in the meantime, just edit it in sources & places myself?

SerraNola, who I tagged in my first comment, has said a team is working on a repair but that it is taking longer than they had hoped.

@Pat Lowe I'm helping @SerraNola to document place errors, and this has been added to our spreadsheet. Thanks for catching it!

Shall I send more to you if I find them?
