New android phone, now app won't start

Had Family Tree on my old android phone. Worked fine.

Got a new phone and installed app on new phone.

Started app, logged in using my ID and password.

Screen cleared and I get a window in the middle, says

"Person not Available"

"The person you are viewing no longer exists"

"OK"

I click OK, but window persists. Nothing on the page lets me continue.

I have tried clearing the app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

How do I get past this?

    You might want to try signing in to the website using that same username and password. That could help you narrow down if there are problems with that account. Are you 100% sure that you are using the same account as you used on your old phone?

    Note that the website has a setting for Family Tree Starting Person which is not implemented on the Family Tree app, so it's conceivable that the website has a similar problem, but it is masked by your having selected a different starting person.
