Naturalization Records for Immigrant to New York City

We are looking for records of naturalization for ancestor who came to New York City around 1925 and died there in 1980. They were from Russia and spent 1905 to 1925 in Canada, but never became a citizen there. We believe he was a resident alien in NYC until the early 1970s because he stopped reporting to immigration then. We are looking for any immigration/naturalization records from the New York during that 1925 to 1980+ period. Thank you.
