Cady Family in Tioga County, Pennsylvania - Research and Records
Hello Atlantic States researchers!
I’m currently working on a family history project focused on the Cady family in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and I’d love to share some findings and invite collaboration.
So far, I’ve identified several individuals connected to this line:
- Lydia Ann Cady (1827–1895)
- Irena Esther (Cady) Clarkson (1844–1923)
- Blanche H. (Cady) Merritt (1883–1965)
These individuals lived in or near Brookfield Township, and I’ve found records through WikiTree and other sources that trace the family back to Nicholas Cady, an early settler in Massachusetts.
I’m especially interested in:
- Land records or deeds in Tioga County
- Church or cemetery records
- Migration patterns from New England to Pennsylvania
- Any connections to other families in the area
If anyone has experience researching the Cady family or Tioga County resources, I’d love to hear from you! I’m also happy to share links and documents I’ve gathered so far.
