Maximum size of USB flash drive for scanner / printer

Some other libraries and repositories I have been to have a maximum of 32 GB for the USB flash drives used in the scanner / printers. Anything larger is not recognized.

Do the scanner / printers at FamilySearch library have a maximum size for USB flash drives?

You might also have been running into the 4gb limitation with individual files on the machines that would only recognize 32gb as the max for the drive. It has to do with the formatting on the USB drive. There's a format called FAT32 that's commonly used on USB drives. You can try one called exFAT, and see if that'll work better. I would have to see if a local library person can contribute more to this discussion, as to the original question of whether the local library devices have any workaround for the max size recognized.
