Hello

My cousin and I are doing our family tree. Alot of our cousins, parents are still living. How do we join up to each other with Matching ID. It keeps saying that the information we have added is private. We have both set our profiles to public but still no luck.

    @Katrina Elizabeth

    Living people in Family Tree are only visible to the creator, but you can set up a Family Group Tree and give your cousin access to that; living people either of you create in that will be visible/editable to you both, and will join to deceased profiles in the main Tree just as your existing living profiles do.

    @Katrina Elizabeth

    Due to the many and varied privacy laws involving living individuals FamilySearch has set all living individuals as private to make sure of their privacy and fulfilling the requirements of the many different statutes involved.

    As noted above you can join a Family Group Tree. You can also add a family group tree to existing family group by following these instructions.
