Modřany or Točna birth records 1918 -

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find my father birth records. He was born August 19, 1918, possibly his birth was recorded in Modřany or Toćna, not sure. I do not find any records on FamilySearch for those churches or anything from these towns. Any guidance?

I am afraid these records are too recent, so they are still located in registry offices, not in archives. While records are freely accessible to anyone after 100 years since the event, if those records are in a book with recent records, that book is transferred to the archive after the 100-year period covers all records.

But I suppose you know one generation further, so you could bypass the father record and go deeper directly. I have my gradfather/mother data in my birth certificate. My parents have one next generation there. It is very handy info when starting the research.
