Mothers line is not connected on my daughters account
My daughters account does not connect me as her mother or any other connections in my lines. We have had this problem with other of our children and a friend was able to fix it. This friend has moved and I do not know how to make the connection. Any help?

You need to add living people to your daughter's account independent of your account. Once you get to deceased ancestors, then you can use the same ID. So, in this case, have your daughter add a profile for you. If will have a different ID that your profile has on your account. Then add your parents. Continue this until you get to deceased ancestors at which point, everything will get linked in for the deceased ancestors. Hope this helps.

I had this same issue before, and ended up doing as you say, but aren't we somehow duplicating profiles?
Moreover why can't we invite people to the living account we created, thus becoming a valid contact?

You are right that you are duplicating profiles. But only the person who created the profile can see it. In other words, you don't see any duplicates from other accounts. Where it does show is when the person dies and the profiles are marked deceased, Then you will start having duplicates. This is all done to protect the rights of privacy.
Having said that, there is a new feature available called Family Group Trees where you can indeed share living profiles. Here is the link to the guide.

@Wayland K Adams I want to say 'thank you' on the public forum for all the times you've been so patient and kind with me as I know sometimes I sound resentful and negative when I question so many changes so quickly coming to FS. I'm working hard on positivity and productiveness tho' I have some, no, make that many challenges to being human 😊
