Family Group Tree and copying living relatives

FamilySearch question, please. Under my login (my private tree) i added myself and my wife. I also added all her relatives, both living and deceased. I also added my child and grandchildren. I then created a Family Group Tree. Here is where i have a problem. FS will allow me to copy my wife and our children. I also added my wife's living siblings, aunts and uncles and their offspring in my private tree but it will not let me copy any of my wife's other living relatives (nieces, nephew, uncles and aunts,) even though i have them in my private tree. Her deceased ancestors get added automatically to the Group but the living relatives that i entered in my private tree do not even display when i select the Select People to Copy option. How do i resolve this problem? The guidelines on FS (https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.familysearch.org%2Fen%2Fhelp%2Fhelpcenter%2Farticle%2Fcopy-people-from-my-private-tree-to-a-family-group-tree%3Ffbclid%3DIwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAYnJpZBEweFpwSW5qc1VVVlFiek1iSwEetNSY2YBxiyx1i6RLt2sX1B5m3GzpfRLwsg7YXb_PT52v73lSKb_KwdmwUnI_aem_ZlsBk6E4bHAye0vp-xgetQ&h=AT21FBMCR_6btFNxGxtEo6cGSjC4ykUvrm_DHg2juWL3d6ntD9RLNPDz6DAkgfxcyH0M6dkdpNA-SQdLlC0SFGtUwb5dM86gjS0zh5YY6qdNd6Nmoo83u9shecYSe6StMxsvD3AUNiB0cQ&tn=R]-R&c[0]=AT2hHJXEVsCCS3vwUPgjPCtciwR6ew95GeuKesm311ziAqZ09DOFFJ6F7zrBUHoTgBokOytlf0QqHo789Z8rYxpgkkThUmDstjEWWbXyGwq12LN23peNoNuOSNLZAfklDZ3O9IADcup6R7DpATubeHJoKhhgWHAwhr9i) state that one should be able to copy living relatives from one's own private tree to the Family Group Tree that I have created.

(I can't answer your actual question as to why things are not working as expected, but just want to make sure you understand something about Family Group Trees. They do not contain any deceased people. Your wife's deceased ancestors are not added to the group. They just remain in the general public Family Tree with all other deceased people and can still be seen and worked on by all users of Family Tree. It's just that when you copy a living profile into the group, that person's relationships to deceased individuals are also copied so that the Family Group flows seamlessly into the public space just like your personal private space does.)

I have found that when I was invited into a Family Group I could verify that I was part of the group along with all the other members but I wasn't able to see anyone but myself. Everytime I tried to expand the sibling row it would prompt me to refresh the pedigree. After the refresh it just went back to showing myself only. Turns out the problem was a conflict with the parent position mismatch between my FamilySearch Tree and the Family Group Tree (mother on right/father on left vs mother on left/father on right). The way I corrected the problem was to go to my Person Page from the ID in the Family Group. Then I seletected the edit pencil next to my name where I am listed as a child to my parents. If there is a mismatch then there will be an option to swtich the parent position at the bottom of the popup box under Tools section. Select and Save. Go back to the Family Group tree and the relationships should expand so all the members will become visible. It may refresh once first.
