Searching Jewish ancestors

You'd need them all to be marked as Jewish in a consistent manner for starters and I'm not even sure which data item that would be. I for one tend not to use such data items anyway as I treat my relatives as individuals and don't care about high level labels.

This page might provide a helpful starting point in your quest:
Beyond that, no, especially in carrying out searches within the Tree itself. Your ancestors would all need to have been labelled "Jewish" for a start and there appears to be no way of searching on "Religious Affiliation", even though it can be added as an Event.

Which illustrates my point because my initial guess - that I hadn't cross checked - was that there's an item called Race. (There is, by the way). There are arguments for both Race and Religious Affiliation being used so there are no guarantees which one - if any - any researcher might have used.

First off, thank you for the replies.
My middle Daughter (age 49) and her Daughter converted to Judaism and asked me the other day if there were any Jewish people in our heritage (ancestors) ? I told her I would look and see. She and Granddaughter are coming out for a visit, soon and so i thought I'd see if tehre was a way to "search" for Jewish ancestors. She and I are just curious. No, I don't classify any of my ancestors in any particular way, but If I did find one of them , say a 4th Great Grandfather/Mother, that was Jewish, or other, I could add that in the "Add Event".
just thought I'd ask, but it REALLY is up to who inputted the data in the first place.
