Nižné Slovinky, Gelnica, Slovakia

Records like this one (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZR3-BY4) show an event location of Nižné Slovinky, Gelnica, Slovakia, but entering that town in the image search doesn't seem to come up with anything. Does anyone know if the collection contains films in the image collection from this town?

    Go to this https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/639937

2 are in reels and are restricted because of later years of birth records

    2 others online.

Just copy the film number , not "Access Online" then go to regular Catalog and enter the film number.

You'll probably need to search using the Hungarian designation since Gelnica was in Hungary before 1918.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile Perhaps so, but is was known as Szalank or Szlovinka (Felsoszlovinka & Alsoszlovinka) in Hungary and those searches don't seem bring up the films, either.

A Google Search for Nižné Slovinky, Gelnica, Slovakia brought up a FamilySearch result

"Greek Catholic parish registers of baptisms, marriages, deaths and confirmations for Nižnie Slovinky (aka Vyšnie Slovinky and Slovinky), Gelnica, Slovensko, ..."

https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/639937 This is a Search result from the catalog, not searching images

However, Searching the catalogue did not bring forth this catalog entry.

@SerraNola Perhaps you could refer this to the Search Engineers. It seems poor that a Search is found by Google, but not by Searching in the Catalog.

@MaureenE123 Interesting that you found this. I'm not the savviest FamilySearch user, but I followed that URL and it didn't seem to offer a way to actually view the images?

I do think something strange is going on here, though, in that you can find actual entries from the image set through indexed search, but not image search. I don't know if that means there are viewable collections for this town I haven't found yet, or not.

The catalog is still resolving missing links. I was able to locate the records by going to libcat.familysearch.org (not every record is linked to the records, just to the online digitized books)

    Here's it is

    https://libcat.familysearch.org/Union/Search?view=list&lookfor=Ni%C5%BEn%C3%A9+Slovinky&searchIndex=Keyword&searchSource=local&replacementTerm=ni%C5%BEn%C3%BD+slovinky

@Dave2425 Using https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/639937 there are entries for 4 microfilms, 2 of which I can see on my home computer, 2 are not available to view at all. (I am a member of the public, not a LDS church member). You must be signed in to view records.

I have no idea why two microfilms are viewable and 2 are not. Perhaps you could enquire using the Feedback button on the right side of the catalogue entry webpage.

@MaureenE123 Interesting. When I log in to FamilySearch, none of those four links leads me to microfilm images. They all just lead me to a page with one or more collections listed, and those hyperlinks all lead me to informational pages about the collection with no option to view it.

"Perhaps you could refer this to the Search Engineers. It seems poor that a Search is found by Google, but not by Searching in the Catalog."

This is a known bug and the programmers are already at work on this.

If you enter film number found in Libcat (it is libcat.familysearch.org ) in the Catalog, it will PULL UP. By the way, using feedback I reported this one.
