Why/How are there personal photos and documents pertaining to family members previously uploaded by persons in foreign countries with no ties whatsoever to my family?

    @Robert16589

    It is possible that the memories were uploaded in relation to other people in the photos/documents and then tagged to your family members, but the best way to understand how this has arisen would probably be to ask the uploaders by clicking on their contact ids (though they are not obliged to respond). If that doesn't help, please post again, ideally providing an example (NB only deceased people can be discussed here).

    Perhaps @Robert16589 has encountered some of the projects from the BYU Lab. Individuals attached many NUMIDENT and other records before they were grouped under the TreeHelper and similar projects.

    I've also encountered well-intentioned contributors who use photos found elsewhere to attach them to a profile with the same name in the FS tree.
