Parish records

Are you asking if they have some records from a parish, does that mean they filmed all records from that parish? I think the answer is no. Just because they filmed some does not mean they filmed all records possible for that parish. I base my answer on one of Roger Minert's webinars on German census records. I think I watched it through the BYU Family History library? He spent time in Germany visiting the parishes in person. Before this, it was thought that there were almost no German census records that had survived all the wars. When he visited in person and looked through the books in their back rooms, he found many census records! They were titled and filed in a variety of ways. These were records no one had filmed before. Even the local clerks were surprised. They hadn't known what they had. There's also always the possibility of things being accidentally missed in filming or records having been separated and later found.

@BarbDopp I agree with what Cheri above has said, that the answer is No. In addition, some records may be in too bad a condition to film, with water or insect damage, or just too fragile. Or perhaps the person filming only had limited time, or there were were problems with the camera etc.

Total misunderstanding of the question on my part. By copy, I thought you meant a copy of the original microfilm. Of course, not all the records may have been able to be filmed for a variety of reasons.
