Have you ever thought of creating a master database?
I don't know why FS doesn't ask us to volunteer to help build a master index. It would be very simple. Every time we find, say an old will to post to one of our ancestors you ask us if we would like to volunteer and log in the will. You would ask us standard citation questions: authour, database name, URL, image #, Will Book #, page #, and who is cited in the will (dying father, wife, kid1, kid2, etc.). Then you put that in a master database. This will is now indexed and FS can show it as a possible source for the next time someone is looking for it. I for one would be more than willing to index my sources—just a thought. Thanks!

Hi @JohnFreeman35 This is a good idea. You might want to submit it to Suggest an Idea so the right people see it.

As I understand your suggestion, this would be "indexing-on-the-fly ," something FamilySearch has been working on for MANY years. I think the first time I heard about it was at RootsTech 2016.
" If you found a name you wanted indexed, you immediately indexed it. Robert called it indexing on the fly."
This old blog post mentions it.1 -
If you Suggest an Idea, be careful to keep a copy, since at present we can't see submitted Ideas, though we are assured that they are reviewed by the appropriate team(s).
