I am having difficulty deciphering this record.

Is this the engagement 4 May 1803 and marriage 19 May 1803 of Jacob Pedersen to Maren Nielsdatter? What is their relationship to Christian Kellerup and Niels Nielsen Brandt?

    Christian Kellerup and Niels Nielsen Brandt are the bondsmen for this marriage. In this document, the bondsmen are certifying that the marrying parties are not related in any way, that they are not married or engaged to anyone else, etc. The date at the bottom of the paragraph:

    "Citadillet Fredrikshavn den 4 Maii 1803"

    "Citadel [parish] Fredrikshavn on the 4th May 1803"

    So, it's not really an engagement date, but the date on which the bondsmen attested that there was no legal reason the couple could not be married.

    Now I just have to find additional proof that these are in fact my ancestors.
