Northern NY state/Quebec Canada, and possibly Vermont. My grandfather was adopted, I am having no luck finding his birth records or adoption records. I assume, since as an adult he and my grandmother adopted thru Catholic Charities, that he was adopted thru Catholic charities as well. Any and all help would be appreciated.

New York State has, historically, been one of the most difficult places to learn details of adoptions. It's become a little easier within the last few years, but you will not find information online.
