Alan Brown pointed you into the right knowledge article, hopefully you can it fixed easily but if you are not the original contributor it is not quite as easy as it used to be.
If you are not the only contributor:
Note: If you are not the only contributor, someone else created the record or others have contributed to it.
- Navigate to the person page of the individual who is living.
- Click Details
- In the Vitals section, next to the listed death date, select Edit.
- In the box that appears, click the circle labeled Living.
- Enter how you know the person is still alive.
- Click Save.
- Enter an explanation for the system administrator to review your request. Please provide this information:
- Your relationship to the individual needing attention
- How you know that the person is alive
- Click Submit.
A request now goes to FamilySearch Support. A system administrator reviews your request and takes appropriate actions.

I'm not sure why you think it is not easy for someone who is not the original contributor, @sc woz
I have no problem reporting a deceased-living error. The fix usually comes through in under 48 hours.2 -
Given the privacy implications of such an error (or sometimes, it's a purposeful setting to make the profile publicly available where a user has completely failed to think about either privacy or accuracy) it's clear that FS will take this extremely seriously, as Aine says.
