[1843] 13.VI. / 18.VI.
Melchior Siedler alt fähr v(on) Ott(enbach)
(see below) / 54 - 5 - 16
See 1.15) Melchior Sidler oo 1816 Barbara Wydler for the explanation of "alt fähr": he had once leased the ferry service across the Reuss, but not at the time of his death ("alt …" means retired).
I am not absolutely sure about the word just before the numbers - but assume these are names of the medical Dr. who has declared the person as dead: there are many with a "Dr.", and one page up it states "viele Ärzte" (many medics); there are several Hegetschweiler and Schweizer (with and without title, often abbreviated, later often with just a single letter). In this case likely Gamp(ert): not abbreviated in other entries - and in 1836 a Gampert line had acquired the citizenship of Ottenbach.

Now that is a little different. Doctors and Medics listed. Melchior's burial entry turns out to be quite interesting. Always something new! Thanks, Kent

I'm not sure if we have talked about Dr. Hegetschweiler before but the research you have done on his daughter Luisa is amazing. I found Dr. Hegetschweiler's burial record and will put it in for a translation. This is amazing stuff!!! Kent
