February 8 edited April 22 in Get Involved/Indexing

What's with the new look of the My Batch page and the Goals Chart!! I use that chart and Goals to encourage myself to see how far I can get during each month by indexing every day and watching the chart to see my DAILY progress. This new chart does nothing for me!!! I like being able to reach my goal little by little and I'm perfectly able to change my goal for February all by myself every day when I want to!!!! Sometimes I index/review as many as 10,000 names a month, depending on how I feel each day and what my schedule allows but I don't set an unattainable goal on the 1st day of the month, I change it upwards every couple of days or so. Please don't fix what don't needs fixing!! How can I change it back????

And this chart isn't even correct as it shows I'm way behind on my goal and getting further behind each day as I've already indexed/reviewed 1200 records! I wish I could do a screenshot and explain myself better🤔

I totally agree! This new indexing page is terrible!! Do the people making these changes even index??

Please put it back! I too like to keep tack of my progress and set new goals and see where I am. This new page makes it impossible to do that!

All you have to do is click "Target" to adjust your goal.

@erutherford I know how to adjust my goal but this new chart doesn't show me what I've done so far this month, for example I have indexed over 1200 records since Feb 1 but this chart doesn't show my accomplishment of 1300+ so that I can figure out what I want my new goal for Feb to be in fact it looks like I've gone downhill for the past 3 days. I want all the green line to go upwards of the black line and yes I know I haven't explained this very well

Yeah. That new Progress graph is lousy. I want to see the cumulative graph, not a daily graph.
Plus, they've got the ward and stake stats screwed up — same incorrect numbers in both.

Somebody jumped the gun on implementing changes.

This graph change caught me by surprise today. In my stake, we are trying to encourage Indexing. The graph, as it is now presented does not show much progress after so much work

I just looked at the chart. Today is day 9. It already has tomorrow, day 10, as zero. Well, duh. To know how many projects have been completed you have to add up each day's progress.

I'd like the old chart back too. I miss see my cumulative daily progress.

Strangely enough if you go to "Progress" and select "Year" it will show you your goals and YTD totals for the month of February! Looks like things are either messed up, or the "Year" totals only started up in February and will be YTD going forward. Otherwise, yes, get this fixed.

I may be wrong about this too. Numbers still look wrong.

I am right there with everyone's comments. I reached out to family search and was told that there was a glitch and they're looking into, although I don't foresee this as just being a glitch. I think it's a new thing, which has me asking the question, why do they keep reinventing the wheel? I'm a Ward FH Consultant, how am I supposed to show people how to use this graph/chart if it a bit confusing to me? Please change it back. I like complacency. Lol!

@Susan Hope Tapp Hi there, I think you're right, it is a new thing and no one seems to like it but here's something someone posted last night: If you change the Select Time Frame to Year, it will show what a person has done during February —- why and how, I'dunno. But maybe that will help for the time being 🤣

I agree with all of the comments relative to the new Goal Chart in Indexing. Why was this changed? It is not useful and rather requires more work on the part of the indexer to know exactly what has been indexed/reviewed as a total for the month. Why wasn't this rolled out as a beta so you could receive comments from the individuals who are actually helping with indexing. I know of no one who is happy with this change. Please, please, please restore the old chart or give us an option of which chart we would prefer.

How difficult would it be to restore the previous goal chart?

My husband and I both wholeheartedly agree with the above comments about the new charting format for indexing/reviewing. The old chart was beautifully simple, providing an easy-to-see tally as we progressed through the month as well as quick-look comparisons with prior months and years. This new daily tally system just isn't working for us. PLEASE bring back the old chart!

I agree with everyone else. The old chart was so easy to use and able to see how you are progressing. It helped me to see that I am meeting my goals. I have no idea how to read this chart. I have indexed almost everyday and know I indexed more than 1,000 yesterday and again about the same amount today. The chart says I have not indexed for over a week. So confusing.
