What is the underlined work under the parent's name? Is the "R" under the date and No 1 mean something?

    The R under the date is which sub-parish or sogn the family was living in. This register for Ringebu prestegjeld contains events for Fåvang sogn, Ringebu sogn, and Venabygd sogn. So they were living in Ringebu sogn. The underlined word under the parents' names is Qvindekjøn (now spelled Kvinnekjøn), that is, Female.

    I'm don't know what the term is before Qvindekjøn, but is is before every notation of Qvindekjøn or Mandkjøn so it is not part of the mother's name and not a residence but just something to do with the child being male or female.

    The word before Qvindekjøn is Fostret, the fetus.
