The birth record for Frances Whitmore, born 12 Oct 1650 with parents Francis & Isabel Whitmore states she is a DAUGHTER. The birth record for Francis Whitmore born 3 March 1671 with parents Francis & Margaret Whitmore show him as a SON. I am unable to see the original documents for these births, so can't verify if the indexer mixed the genders. The Whitmore Genealogy Book & most patrons feel the 1650 Frances was a male and married Hannah Harris. Most patrons feel Francis born 1671 was a female and married Jonathan Thompson. All current documents on FamilySearch are typed records for these births. How can I view the original birth records?

I believe the earliest originals are held by the NEHGS - New England Historic Genealogical Society. https://www.americanancestors.org/
