Towns and Cities in Germany
Many places are tagged as having excisted only starting in 1871 (when Germanny was first united). However most of these places have excisted far sooner than 1871.
See example of Vach, Fürth, (Middle Franconia), Bavaria, Germany
Vach is a district in the city of Fürth, Germany. Originally a separate town, it was incorporated into Fürth in 1972. It is first mentioned in documents concerning Gundekar II of Eichstätt in 1059. As of 1961, Vach has an area of 8.208 km². Wikipedia

I raised exactly this topic when I encountered the nonsensical "wasn't called that" regarding Vienna, Austria: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/170478/wasnt-called-that-is-patently-false#latest.
As I said in a couple of places on that thread, if a message is about a date mismatch, it shouldn't talk about names. I don't know what the status is of the suggested rewordings.

Just to expand a little on @Julia Szent-Györgyi's answer in the context of your particular issue, here is the Places database entry for Vach: . In your example, the problem is the incompleteness of the database. There is no entry for Vach prior to 1871 because no entry has ever been created. There are more time periods for Fürth as seen here: .
One issue with the Data Quality Checker that we users just have to keep in mind is that when it compares data on a profile to data in a database, all it can do is show there is a difference, not which is correct. If there is a problem in the profile, we can correct that. If it is a problem in an index, sometimes we can correct the index. If it is a problem in the Places database, we have to send in a request for an addition or correction through the Improve This Place link found on the database page when signed into FamilySearch:
And, of course, you have to decide on your priorities. If you have one profile in Vach you may decide that it's not worth your time to submit a correction and just dismiss the quality flag. If you have hundreds, it probably would be worthwhile so you can get all those profiles with the proper name for the time periods and have the quality checker recognize the name. In that case, you will probably also want to evaluate all the entries for Fürth and any predecessors it might have had and get all those historically accurate, also.
