I agree that Morti 1873 for Minervino should be there and appears to be missing (along with some other years.) It shows up on the FS listing, so the film exists and access should have been transferred to Antenati.
I am going to send an email request to Antenati about this if I can find the correct way to message them.

The message shows that record is not available on FamilySearch.org.

One of the experienced Italian researchers in the Italy Research Group may be able to assist you in locating the appropriate repository.

Can you list the record details you are seeking? Bari is a very large Province with many Comuni.
    Comune:
    Year:
    Type:

    I would start here:

    or here:

    Hi,

I have been studying family tree for many years, and my family tree is about 4500 members so I am not starting now.

I have noticed that many records are missing in antenati site, so I often search in famiysearch because it has some records that are missing in antenati. For example those available only here:
    https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/index?owc=MFH6-6NL%3A1015643301%3Fcc%3D2043445&cc=2043445

but also there, there are many records missings, for example the records of Minervino (BA)

so my question is how to get full access to familysearch information? I am already member of myHeritage and my tree is at https://www.myheritage.it/site-family-tree-564347851/lazzo

    Thanks in advance
    Gaetano

In this case I'm trying to access to this catalog:
    https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/422972

    I go through
    https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/index?owc=MDWK-SP8%3A307151701%2C326117801%3Fcc%3D1968511&cc=MD7K-D29:307151701?cc=1968511
    but it does not work

and the same applies for all the cities here:

    Error message:

    Images Available

To view these images do one of the following:

    • You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partners' sites or the legal record custodian (fees may apply).

Is anyone able to identify who the relevant partner or record custodian might be in these cases? (I have never understood why this super generic error message can't be enhanced to include this information - I'll queue up a Suggest an Idea.)

With the billions of records indexed on FS, specific messages aren't realistically possible.

In this case I'm trying to access to this catalog:

    https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/422972

Looking at this catalog entry it says Microfilm dei registri originali nell'Archivio di Stato, Trani e nell'Archivio del Tribunale, Trani.

With the message you are getting "To view these images do one of the following:

    • You may be able to view this image by visiting one of our partners' sites or the legal record custodian (fees may apply)." , this means the records are not available to you on FamilySearch. You will need to try elsewhere. You could try the archive which holds the records.

But this isn't an image level point, it's a collection level one. A collection specific insertion in the message at run time really doesn't feel impossible to me; surely FS already maintains some sort of database identifying custodians by collection, which would be a start.

I have to say, more generally, that error messages in FS are frequently over-generic, and the wording could often be made a lot more user-friendly (maybe a glossary link could be added to e g. 'record custodian'). More meaningful error messages would help Support and the Community, too.

    @GAETANO LAZZO

I asked you for specific details because it is very hard to help you solve the problem without pointing to a specific record instead of a whole group.

As an example Minervino records are here:

    https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/search-registry/?localita=Minervino%20Murge

I believe your problem is discussed here by @Cousin Vinny who informs us that most State Archive records are now only accessible on the Antenati site. cc: @MandyShaw1 @MaureenE123

I recommend you join the Italian Research Group as @Áine Ní Donnghaile recommended above and read this announcement.

Unfortunately, there are many registers like that, and I find dozen of those every day. As you can imagine, when you are searching for some unknown event, you don't know exactly where it is, otherwise you would already have it. So for example, I know that from 1800 to 1840 in Minervino (BA) (but I make researches also in Napoli, Corato, Bari, Palermo, and so on) there is potentially some information that could help me know better my ancestors, like dead events or marriages, and I need to view them all.
I noticed that many registers are not visible anymore, neither in antenati site, and I know for sure they were visible before, cause fortunately I saved some copy. But for all the rest that I didnt copy, and those who I never saw, I'm stuck.
I could tell one for all, Minervino Dead 1873. This register does not exist anymore anywhere. https://tinyurl.com/295epr5n as you can see, it is not listed there.
But I am sure it existed in the past cause I have an image that I took from it and saved for my personal use.

Thanks for your patience and for your help.
    Gaetano

    Thank you @Cousin Vinny

That's my fault for not seeing them earlier today. I really thought I checked Minervino Murge.

It's weird that the Minervino registers carry the Minervino Localita tag except for Morti.
