I’d like to go to a FamilySearch center and view some images that are otherwise ā€˜locked’ when I research from home. Ideally, I’d like to be able to see the images after I leave the center. For copyright reasons I don’t think I’ll be able to download them. Is it possible to save them somewhere in my Familysearch account?

Your ability to download will depend on the record set and the relevant contract with the record holder. Many can be downloaded but not all. It is a function of the contract, not copyright.

The monitors at most FamilySearch Centers are large. For those record images I am unable to download, I take a full screenshot, and that quality is reasonably good. If you take a thumb drive with you, you can save any image (whether downloaded or screenshot) to the thumb drive and bring them all home with you.

If you want to share what record sets you want to view, we may be able to tell you if they can be downloaded.

@HelenHeaton I'm at my Affiliate Library this afternoon, if I can help.
