Maiden names (specifically from Germany)
I am posting here at the suggestion of Elder Seegmiller. (Thank you for answering my feedback😊.)
When I am connecting German records to people, source linker usually puts only a woman's given names or possibly her given names and married name. However, the women's maiden names are often in the record (noted as "geb" meaning "born.")
Because I am aware of this, I can go to the woman's record and find her maiden name. However, many people won't know to do this and the name will be lost.
This does NOT come from the indexing. The maiden name is usually in the indexed record. It is just ignored on Source Linker because it must be in a different field. Is there a way to make it show on Source Linker?

I just suggested the same.
It's easy to get the wrong spouse or couple unless you check the maiden name field for every record. Odds are it's the same mother, but it's happened to me to link the wrong children because it's not worth the time to pull up the record and check every time.
