Just a thought…
I wanted to suggest that maybe we could delete someone off a record in source linker. I've ran into multiple documents where someone would add a person name "Unknown", and I've ran into companies labeled as people. Then when somebody doesn't add it, a notice of an unfinished source is given, so it would be easier to just delete it in the source linker

It's extra steps, but doesn't require any changes to the system to simply dismiss the unfinished attachments notice(s).
I imagine that repurposing Source Linker to also be (an) Index Editor would be …fraught and complicated.

I too wish there was a way to flag the "Unknown" or other obviously unrelated people (like clerks and officials) as 'Irrelevant' or 'Unrelated', and have that keep a source from being 'Unfinished', especially when it occurs with a large family or a large number of people, such as in some obituaries.
The 1950 Census occasionally seems to group people wrongly, adding unrelated people to the family you're working on. Sometimes I try to correct the census page, but It's a LOT of work and time, and sometimes problematic (I've had whole families disappear), so not always. And for forgetful people like me, it's hard to remember to go to all of the linked profiles, to do the 'dismiss' thing.

I have added your comment to the list of enhancements.
