Kirovograd archive.

I know that the archive funds have been scanned. These funds were even posted here. Friends told me the numbers of the films. Unfortunately, I read the message too late. Now these film numbers are not valid. And it is impossible to get to the archive files in any other way. Is access blocked forever? Or is there hope?

If you are searching by film number in the FamilySearch catalog, that catalog has been locked (not updated) for nearly 3 years. The last information I saw, that catalog will not be updated for the "foreseeable future."

Have you tried searching in the Images section? I just searched there on "Kiorvograd" since I don't know the DGS numbers you want, and found many DGS listed there.

I tried to see the old registry books of the churches of the Elizvetgrad district. In images. Fund 170 for example(village Adzhamka). I have the DGS. They were available 2 months ago. Not three years, but 2 months. And now I get the answer that there are no such films.

If they are still available, then they have different numbers. I don't know how to look for them. A search on images via F170_1_* did not yield anything.

The point I was trying to make is that nothing has been added to the main catalog for nearly 3 years. Nothing has been removed from the catalog.

I am most interested in fund 349. This fund contains more parish registers of the village of Adzhamka. My grandmother was born there.

All clear. The Kirovograd Archive demanded that access to parish registers from its funds be closed, and the FS listened. That's what my friends said. I hoped my friends were wrong.

There are hundreds of DGS numbers showing in Images. Just because a few - possibly those including recent dates - are closed is not the end of the world.
