Is it possible to edit the date in this record?

The date in the image / original document reads 9 March 1839. (See https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZDL-CC1S). I rarely encounter records that can be edited and can't see how I can edit the date here. After clicking on EDIT, then Indexed Data, on the right side of the screen, I get the message shown in the second screenshot. I just noticed there is a padlock symbol by the collection name, however, so might this be a factor here, I wonder?

This looks like an indexed record, but I cannot find it in a Search, so I would be grateful if someone could kindly explain the issue I am encountering here - certainly something I haven't come across before in my work in FamilySearch!

(BTW - I would have liked to have edited the Birth date to 9 March 1839 and the "Event" (baptism) date - to 31 May 1840.)

Sorry if I have posted under the wrong category, but I only found the record through viewing the Sources section of her profile, so seemed more related to Family Tree than Search.

    @Paul W Hi

    That lock symbol near her name usually means someone has made an edit and the index is now MIA.

    That's likely why you only saw the record from the FSFT rather than by Searching for the record since the index has vanished after an edit.

    Further to the above, I had actually been looking at her father's sources when I came across this. The screenshot below is of the top of Jane's Sources section. Whilst the event has been indexed multiple times (she was born in 1839 and baptised in 1840, just to explain the dates), perhaps the top source is a locked, image-only one, which is why I am having the problem (None of the four indexed sources are editable, as they do not have an attached image.)

    Maybe I am answering my own question here, but having little experience in this area I would be grateful for confirmation / clarification on why I am facing this problem!

    And - to answer your question more specifically, it can't be edited until the glitch with the record image viewer/editor is repaired and the index returns.

    Oh, thanks for that Áine. I hope I soon get another opportunity to make an edit - very few of the indexed records I attach have accompanying images, so I don't get to do many!

    In this thread I posted about an edit I made (after much angst). Then the record index went MIA, so I can't edit the surname of his father.

    That was 1 Feb 2024, and the index is still missing. Lock symbol still present in the header.
