Buddy,
Can you give a little more detail on your grandfather, such as his birth and death years, where he lived, who he married and if he served in the military. If you can provide some details I am sure a lot of people in this community will have some great ideas for you.
Kindly,
Cara

My grandfather went by the name of Herron Neely. He was born in 1892 Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, He attended Chapel Hill then enrolled in Maryland School of Pharmacy.. He married Lillian Tipton and lived in Baltimore until 1930. Then his family moved to Central Florida and after 1940 he rented a place in Jacksonville. After WWII he moved to Gainesville and he worked in Jacksonville (rented a room) and Wauchula (stayed with his sister). He died in Florida as far as I know in 1956. He never served in the military. The home in Gainesville was owned by grandfather and grandmother.

Thank you very much. You see a lot of articles on small town America. My brother is mentioned and so is my father. I'm most thankful about the the Baltimore Sun article and Herron's obit in the Tampa Tribune. I've got my work cut out for me.
