Could someone look at this family with me.
Hollan A Bush - 9SPW-2VN and 27SR-HQ8 Holland Ann Bush. Holland Ann Bush is my direct line. The way it is arranged, it looks like these two people are sisters - which doesn't make sense at all because why would you name 2 living children the same name. My question is: Do I merge them or just delete the relationship. When I delete a relationship I usually try to attach the person to the correct family but I can find no evidence that this Hollan A ever existed. The death date is a whole date. But no sources. What would you do? Merge or detach? Thanks for your opinions!

I agree it is very unlikely that Nathan and Mary had 2 daughters named Hollan/Holland. Before detaching, I would recommend looking for some sources to attach to 9SPW-2VN, the profile with no sources. Finding and attaching those will help show that she doesn't belong to this family, and, perhaps, locate her parents or some family members, to help support.

It looks like Hollan A might be a leftover from an older version of FamilySearch that got transferred to the modern site back in 2012. (Holland Ann was transferred from the old system several days earlier, but unlike Hollan, she has actually been worked on since.) My guess is that they are supposed to be the same person, and that Hollan just uses faulty information.

Given that the two women are supposedly born many years apart in two different states, I think it is more likely they are meant to be two different people, with a similar-name error putting them with the same parents.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile The birth place in Hollan A is the same as the marriage place in Holland Ann, who lived there for a decent chunk of her life afterwards. If someone were to get the birthplace wrong, that's probably where they would put it.
That said, you could be right about it being a coincidence. I can't think of any explanation for the years issue, other than someone guesstimating incorrectly.

I would merge them. I did a search for 9SPW-2VN and didn't find anything. Perhaps the wrong dates were added to her name. I also agree that this looks like a record that was created very early (2012 per Latest Changes). I went through 27SR-HQ8 and standardized and reset a bunch of sources that were missing tags but I didn't find anything that led me to think that the info from the other record was valid.

@BraydenGraves Guesstimates usually don't have EXACT dates. I would err on the side of caution and avoid merging. I spend a lot of time unmerging and restoring similarly-named people because someone didn't check.
