How does one judge the verity of one's own family line-especially when it frequently changes?
My family has a "static" tree on Ancestry, and I am trying to download the information from my parent's trees on Family Search into Ancestry. Since the tree on Family Search may have changed between the time of my parent's death, and the time that I was able to download the information, I'm unsure about the validity of the connections- especially the ones from hundreds of years in the past. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! 😊

May I please ask for guidance in accessing my mom's PAF file? It was copied onto a thumb drive when she died in 2017 and, if it could be opened, it would be a helpful resource! The Elder who helped me on Family Search with this question, said that I should not go to my local Family Research Center, but instead referred me to Family Search Library in SLC,UT and gave me the phone number of: 801-240-6996. However, no one is answering the phone (Roots Tech?) . Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!☺️

You'll find a few options online for downloading a version of the old program that should open your mother's PAF. You'll want to exercise the usual precautions before downloading/using an online source.
