Why don't all entries count in indexing?

My husband is doing doing directories. He did 1150 entries. It credited him with a little more than 800 enteries. We are wondering why he did not get credit for the full amount. This is not the first time that this has happened.

The same thing happened with a huge that my husband was doing. He indexed over 1,200 names and he was only credited 495. I think there must be a problem with the indexing system keeping track of large amounts of names.

Same thing happened to me.. I would just keep track of all he indexes and if anyone asks he can tell them how many he actually indexed. Also we may not be able to see how many, but maybe it shows somewhere else.. Just a guess.

In both cases, possibly in directories there could be many duplicates.
