    From Diane Seipert

British Army Muster Rolls and Pay Lists 1730-1898 are on the National Archives https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/.../british-army.../ Also check the Imperial War Museum for Service Records https://www.iwm.org.uk/.../where-to-find-army-service... The online groups that have records are FamilySearch.org which is free though if you have a membership, both Ancestry and Findmypast.com.uk also have records. Hope is is of help.
