I am indexing MQFJ-TWG

I have looked at all the training samples. I am still not certain whether or not to create a separate entry for both spouses, when one entry asks for the information on both spouses. Why would I create another entry with the exact same information? It only said not to create another entry if the spouse indicated "widowed." That makes sense, because one spouse might have remarried and have a different surname.

If the spouse is living, you will put their information in the spouse fields, not create another entry.

    Ex: Doe, John (Mary).

    We index it like:

    GN: John

    SN: Doe

    Spouse's GN: Mary

    Spouses SN: Doe
