Depends (highly) on the specifics. Some fields of some indexes are correctable on FS, others aren't -- and given the ongoing bug where editing an index entry sometimes effectively deletes it instead, I recommend not trying to make any corrections right now. Instead, pretend we're back where we were several years ago, when index corrections hadn't been implemented yet, and just be happy that the index served its purpose, despite the errors: you found your relatives.
