Scrolling of books is more laggy on Apple devices than on Windows

Hi All,

I was doing my research on Windows before and zooming, scrolling and turning a page was really fluid on basically every computer and browser that I've tried. However, it doesn't apply to Apple devices at all, regardless of power, screen size, OS or browser. It's a very slow and laggy experience that makes research to take longer and also harder for the eyes. So my question would be if you can suggest a browser for MacOS that works well with the books on Familysearch or any setting change that can help with this issue.

Thank you,

Levente Molnár

I have seen it previously said in FS Community that for things like the FamilySearch Digital Library the latest two versions of a browser are supported, so you need to make sure the Apple devices are up to date.

I'm not too sure whether an Apple iMac (which I have) counts as an Apple device, but currently the pages click through at an OK speed, although there have been times in the past when things were slower.

That said, I much prefer the Internet Archive (archive.org) for online books, and I would always check whether the book I want is available in the Internet archive.

You may find it preferable to download the book to your computer. I prefer Chrome rather than Safari for downloads.

I would also try chrome for the Mac.
