I am reviewing Minnesota Death records
[MSQ8-JKX] and some indexers put in the number in black above the actual card for the certificate or record number, some do not. Is this number supposed to be used for the record number?

This was shared on the Indexing Chat page and answered. So, I'll add Heather's answer here: Those numbers are for digitizing purposes, and do not have anything to do with the document. Thank you so much for catching that!
