No source for a deceased person and the edit is made by FamilySearch

Does anyone have any additional information on KW8Q-Z7T? She is marked on 6 December 2023 as deceased and the source is FamilySearch (authorized support staff). The date of death is 12 August 2023. There is no sources attached.

I've search for an obituary and even called the funeral home that handled the arrangements for her husband and am not finding where she has passed. This person, given her age, has repeatedly over the years been marked as deceased when she was in fact, living. Does anyone have any additional information on this one? Or is this an error? Thank you.

The fact that FamilySearch has entered the death, together with the fact that the ID number is a KW number, indicates that her death was reported to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You will notice that her ordinance information shows also. I know from personal experience that all it took to report a death to my Ward Clerk was to give them the death date. I needed no document. I hope this helps you.

Thank you. I'm not LDS, so I don't see ordinance information, but thanks for letting me know what the KW means. This is the first time since I've been using FamilySearch that I learned of a family member's passing via the platform. Do you know when the death is reported to the Ward Clerk, is the death location recorded anywhere or no?
