missing parts in index, film 008111700 , page 26
The last entry on the page mentioned above regards the baptism of Anna Margaretha Loris on 28 November 1762 in Jahrmarkt/Gyarmatha/Giarmata.
However, this entry is not indexed and therefore cannot be connected to GZR4-V42.
I know, one can make corrections to indexed data - I have done it many times, but is there way to introduce a complete new line to the index?
Thank you so much for your support.
Sincerely, Dorothea Durutya

A record does not have to be indexed to attach it to a profile. I do it all the time with baptismal and other church records that have never been indexed.

As Áine says, you can attach an image as a source regardless of its indexed status -- but in this case, you don't need to, because that film has the new index editor, which allows adding entire new entries. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSJ1-WS9F-3?view=index&action=view
I need to go to bed posthaste, so I haven't finished the new entry: I haven't deciphered and added the date or the parents, or a surname for Anna Margaretha.

to Áine Ní Donnghaile:
Yes, I have also done it hundreds of times. But as soon as an index is available, the button for attaching a document to a person's file is no longer active, as far as I can see. There is no way to click it.

@DorotheaDurutya, yes, unfortunately the handy blue button is disabled if there are any index entries associated with an image, but you can still attach it using your Source Box, or even just using the URL as if it were a non-FS source. (If you use your Source Box, you can create the same kind of linked set of instances as what the handy blue button creates.)

@Julia Szent-Györgyi Thanks for giving a more complete answer than I could last night. I was already IN bed.
