- Index only the following types of documents: Declarations of intention, petitions for naturalization, ...
The first image is a declaration, the second is a petition, so I don't understand why there's even a question. Is it perhaps showing me a different batch than the one you intended to ask about?

This batch should be indexed, even though it's for the same person, it contains different information, most notably Record Number, Given Name (hint: always check #6 on the Citizenship Petition for name variants and index them, Given and Surnames, if applicable, separating them by the word Or) and Record Date. P.Q. is short for Province of Quebec, which was established in the Royal Proclamation in 1763, after the Seven Years' War. Province of Quebec is now known, obviously, as Quebec. I think Province of Quebec lasted until right around 1790/91 (I think, been quite many years since Western Civ II class). Index the birthplace on Image 1 as St. Francis, Province of Quebec, Canada.

So when typing St., we don't expand it to Saint? We leave it as St.? Just asking for future reference....

St/Saint is a gray area. Birthplace Field Help usually states to expand abbreviations if known. I index it as St., since it's common knowledge that it's the abbreviation for Saint and places like Saint Louis and Saint Paul are almost always abbreviated to St. I only knew P.Q. was Province of Quebec because I took three Western Civilization classes in college and Western Civ classes are kind of niche classes, mostly if you want a History degree, which I have (I'm a history nerd), but is now only used for FS and to help my nephews with history projects.
