    I cannot find Mary Polly's parents. It lists Isaac Brizendine as her husband, and she was born in 1773 and died in 1860, and lists all their children, but how can I find records that proves who her parents are?

    @LindaCooprider

    If you want others to help, I strongly recommend you share sufficient details so we know for whom you are searching. Places and dates are important. In the case of the FamilySearch Family Tree, the PIDs (profile identifiers) are critically important as the tree is so large.

    In this instance, the Brizendine surname is not common, and I was able to find the couple in the FSFT. Isaac Brizendine is KN1T-S1D and his wife Mary Polly is L4HZ-MJ3.

    At such an early time in American history, there will be few vital records. There is a 1798 marriage bond extract attached to the couple. If the record is to be believed, Mary's maiden name is also Brizendine.

    BTW Polly is a nickname for Mary, not likely her middle name.

    I don't think Brizendine is her maiden name, because her location at birth is Virginia, British colonial America. I cannot find a birth record showing her birth, baptism, with her parents names. I thank anyone for their help so let me know if you find a clue

    As I said yesterday:

    At such an early time in American history, there will be few vital records.

    The Southern USA/Colonies did not keep vital records until much later. In many locations, not until the 20th century.

    I'd contact the Library of Virginia who may hold the original of that marriage bond.
