Misclasified records?

Hello FamilySearch people,

It seems that a batch of records from Colombia have been mistakenly assigned a Peruvian place.

It's yet another example of the autostandardization bot ignoring the metadata.

You can identify the depredations of the bot by going to one of the affected details pages, such as https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6D8S-BJ2M. You'll see that there are two Event Place fields. The one labeled with a parenthetical "Original" is what was actually indexed: "Santa Iglesia Parroquial". The other one is what the bot picked to go with that from the (global) database of places.

@N Tychonievich has been dutifully reporting these to the relevant people.

Searching inside that same Colombia collection (https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1726975) for records derived from events that supposedly did happen in Santa, Ancash, Perú (very very far!) produces 12,000 plus records.

"Santa, Áncash, Perú" is not the only badly assigned place. See "San Francisco, Caazapá, Paraguay".

It should not be hard to fix and prevent (i.e. suggested place should not be in a different country or province).
